Today with the talk of new variants of COVID-19 already in the United States — it is a wake up call to get ourselves in optimal health.
In April, British researchers published an article in The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, a peer-reviewed journal. The researchers examined the medical records of 6.9 million people in England to look at the link between obesity and severe outcomes from COVID-19, including hospitalization and death.
“Our findings from this large population-based cohort emphasise that excess weight is associated with substantially increased risks of severe COVID-19 outcomes, and one of the most important modifiable risk factors identified to date.”
This suggest that for people under 60 years old, weight loss would be a great way to reduce the risk of COVID-19. We can help you get started right now.
